Homosexuality: The Way of Life

God warns us that there are those in the world who promote evil as good and good as evil, who replace light with darkness, and who substitute sweet for bitter.

Isaiah 5:20
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Obviously this is going on in the world otherwise God would not have felt the need to warn us about it. Furthermore, it is being done with intent, with deliberate systematic execution. Conditioning us to believe that evil is good and good is evil is the world's modus operandi, the way it works. The devil is the god of this world, so this makes sense.

Now, this is where we need to start dealing with a few things, and for the next few chapters we are going to be comparing the word with the world, comparing what is good with what is evil.

We know that in order to live protected from the devil we need to believe God's word and live it. However, there may be things in God's word that we don't agree with and we may find shocking or even disturbing. This is where we need to stop and take a breath and think about things. We were all brought up in the world and we have been conditioned to think of evil as good and good as evil. Remember, Lucifer is the god of this world. The word says that he was the angel of light at one time, full of wisdom and beauty, and that he was perfect in all his ways. As the god of this world, he knows how to replace good with evil and evil with good.

If we find our thoughts don't line up with God's word on any particular subject we have to make a decision. Are we going to renew our minds to God's word or not? Often it's easy to change, sometimes it's not. We have to make up our minds on the word. Is it the truth or not?

When I first got into the word I was a drunk, I smoked dope, I was a thief, a salmon poacher, and I had quite a few other little and not so little problems that didn't line up with God's word. I had decisions to make. I quit drinking, smoking dope, and stealing. It took a while longer to get my head around salmon poaching, but I gave that up as well. The more I lived the word, the better my life became. It didn't happen overnight, in fact it took a couple of years to clean my life up, and even then I still made mistakes. The question is, do we want to walk by the spirit or not? Do we want fellowship with God? Do we want God's hedge of protection around us? Do we want to be able to help people with God's word or not? If so, then we renew our minds to the word and change where we need to change so our thoughts and our lives line up with the word.

As an example to clarify and illustrate what I'm talking about, let us look at homosexuality and compare viewpoints - God's and the world's. If you're a homosexual or a lesbian and you honestly want to know God and live his word, this section is probably going to be traumatic and disturbing. However hold yourself together, because God loves you just as much as anyone else. He sent his son to die for everyone, and that includes you as well as it did me.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

If you want eternal life, just make the decision to change. The apostle Paul changed from a murdering religious dragon and God was there for him like he was there for me and he will be there for you too. The more abundant life is for everyone. All you have to do is renew your mind, clean up your life, and God will be there for you. Okay, let's deal with some stuff.

Leviticus 20:13
If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

Can it be any clearer? In the old testament, homosexuals were to be executed. Executed? That's right, homosexuals were to be stoned to death. That is a harsh penalty. If God commanded his people to stone homosexuals to death, does that mean then that perhaps they are not just enjoying an alternative lifestyle as the world advocates? Well, God certainly doesn't think so. That is the old testament, what about the new testament?

Romans 1:26-28,32
For this cause God gave them up unto vile [repulsive, repugnant, disgusting, putrid] affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature [lesbians]:

And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly [homosexuality], and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind [an insane mind - to commit homosexual and lesbian acts is criminally insane], to do those things which are not convenient;

Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Verse 32 clearly states that homosexuals and lesbians are worthy of death. That is explicit and clear. What about Jesus Christ then? What did he think? He was all love, right? In Matthew 11, Jesus Christ addressed the people regarding John the Baptist:

Matthew 11:8,9
But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? behold, they that wear soft clothing are in kings' houses.

But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? yea, I say unto you, and more than a prophet.

The word soft in verse 8 is better translated effeminate. Men who wear effeminate clothing in this context are homosexuals. What is Jesus Christ saying here?

What went you out to see? A homo? Behold, you will find the homos infesting royalty and your politicians. No, John the Baptist was no homo, he was a man of God, a prophet, yes, and more than a prophet.

Now, all this may come as a bit of shock if you have grown up conditioned by the world regarding homosexuality. If this is the case, it is likely your mind may have a great deal of difficulty grasping the enormity of just how serious a crime homosexuality is. According to God's word, homosexuality warrants the death penalty. It doesn't get much more serious than that. Homosexuals are not just consenting adults enjoying sex, not if God's word is right. This isn't about consent, this is about what is right and what is wrong, what is good and what is evil, what is light and what is darkness.

John 10:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

If we want an abundant life, we must come back to the word of God and walk in the way of life. To further our understanding of this, let's consider a record from the old testament.

Genesis 19:1
And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;

It was customary in that day for residents of a community to lodge and entertain travellers. There were no newspapers, televisions, or Internet in those days, and as travellers brought the latest news from around the country, this was a mutually beneficial arrangement. This was their bed and breakfast system - news in exchange for lodgings. Lot had room in his house, and he was doing what was customary by offering hospitality. On this particular evening however, unknown to him, he met two angels.

Genesis 19:2-5
And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.

And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.

But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:

And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.

It says the men of the city, both young and old, from every occupation and lifestyle, surrounded Lot's house and demanded that he hand over the two men that they may know them, or have homosexual relations with them. This is unrestrained homosexual gang rape. Sound familiar? It is happening all around us in our day and time. How do cultures become infested with vicious, predatory homos like this? So called human rights and tolerance, of course. Look, this is God's word. This is the way of life. Look around you, the way of death is everywhere.

Genesis 19:6-10
And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him,

And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly.

Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.

And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door.

But the men put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door.

The homos of Sodom were going to gang rape Lot for daring to confront them. If homosexuality is not dealt with according to God's word, this is where it always leads, to gang rape, violence, and murder.

There is another record in the old testament where a man, his wife, and his servant were travelling through Israel. As night fell, they entered Gibeah, a city of Israel, to seek lodgings.

Judges 19:15
And they turned aside thither, to go in and to lodge in Gibeah: and when he went in, he sat him down in a street of the city: for there was no man that took them into his house to lodging.

To understand why he sat in the street, we have to understand that it was their culture to look after the needs of travellers. All the bed and breakfasts were closed even though there were vacancies. This traveller was observing the correct cultural protocols in seeking lodgings for the night. However, no one took them in.

Judges 19:16-21
And, behold, there came an old man from his work out of the field at even, which was also of mount Ephraim; and he sojourned in Gibeah: but the men of the place were Benjamites.

And when he had lifted up his eyes, he saw a wayfaring man in the street of the city: and the old man said, Whither goest thou? and whence comest thou?

And he said unto him, We are passing from Bethlehemjudah toward the side of mount Ephraim; from thence am I: and I went to Bethlehemjudah, but I am now going to the house of the LORD; and there is no man that receiveth me to house.

Yet there is both straw and provender for our asses; and there is bread and wine also for me, and for thy handmaid, and for the young man which is with thy servants: there is no want of any thing.

And the old man said, Peace be with thee; howsoever let all thy wants lie upon me; only lodge not in the street.

So he brought him into his house, and gave provender unto the asses: and they washed their feet, and did eat and drink.

Finally, one old man of this city extended kindness and courtesy to the man. This traveller was not poor because he was sitting in the street, quite the contrary, there was no want of anything. He was simply looking for bed and breakfast in the customary manner.

Judges 19:22
Now as they were making their hearts merry, behold, the men of the city, certain sons of Belial, beset the house round about, and beat at the door, and spake to the master of the house, the old man, saying, Bring forth the man that came into thine house, that we may know him.

Here we go again, unrestrained homosexual gang rape and violence. No wonder all the bed and breakfasts were closed - no one wanted the homos breaking down their doors at night to gang rape their guests.

Judges 19:23-29
And the man, the master of the house, went out unto them, and said unto them, Nay, my brethren, nay, I pray you, do not so wickedly; seeing that this man is come into mine house, do not this folly.

Behold, here is my daughter a maiden, and his concubine; them I will bring out now, and humble ye them, and do with them what seemeth good unto you: but unto this man do not so vile a thing.

But the men would not hearken to him: so the man took his concubine, and brought her forth unto them; and they knew her, and abused her all the night until the morning: and when the day began to spring, they let her go.

Then came the woman in the dawning of the day, and fell down at the door of the man's house where her lord was, till it was light.

And her lord rose up in the morning, and opened the doors of the house, and went out to go his way: and, behold, the woman his concubine was fallen down at the door of the house, and her hands were upon the threshold.

And he said unto her, Up, and let us be going. But none answered [she died]. Then the man took her up upon an ass, and the man rose up, and gat him unto his place.

And when he was come into his house, he took a knife, and laid hold on his concubine, and divided her, together with her bones, into twelve pieces, and sent her into all the coasts of Israel.

These last few decades have seen an increase in sexual violence around the world that is staggering. It is due entirely to the legalising of homosexuality - granting homosexuals and lesbians protection by law - and by censoring news reports so as not to expose their brutal sexual predations. In the old testament, God's people were to stone them to death. They were not to be tolerated, they were not to be given jobs as politicians, they were not to be ordained as ministers and priests, they were to be stoned to death. Not only did God advocate the death penalty for homosexuality in the old testament, he had Paul warning us about it in the very first chapter of the book of Romans.

Just for the record, the bible does not advocate or condone lynching, public riots, or civil unrest, it advocates administering justice through existing judicial systems. Those in government are responsible for how they govern the countries to which they were elected to serve. If you are in government and care about the people you serve, then perhaps this would be a good place to start when you next sit down to discuss policy.

The world may change our laws and call homosexuality normal healthy behaviour, while at the same time criminalising those who dare to stand against them, but the word of God stands.

Isaiah 5:20
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Promoting homosexuality is calling evil good, while prosecuting those who stand against them is calling good, evil. Promoting homosexuality is putting darkness for light, and bitter for sweet. This is the way of life in this category. Choose wisely your way.
