God-Given Rights

Every single person on earth was born without spirit as a consequence for man's disobedience back in Genesis and will die because of it. There is nothing anyone can do to raise themselves from this condition of death. No one can beat his chest, march up to God and demand eternal life because they are so nice to everyone. The only way out of death is to be born again and accept what God has made freely available.

Ephesians 1:3
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

God blessed us with all spiritual blessings. God did it. These blessings come with the new birth. When we are born into God's family, these blessings come wrapped up with the Christ in us. With sonship comes all spiritual blessings. With sonship comes rights. When we are born into God's family, for example, from that moment we are holy and without blame.

Ephesians 1:4
According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

Why are we holy and without blame? We've all done terrible things, yet we're holy and without blame? Yes, that's what the word says. It's not what the world tells you, but it is what the word says. Who are you going to believe? The devil is a liar, God tells the truth.

The gift of holy spirit, the Christ in us, is perfect. It is incorruptible seed and it is eternal life, which means it lives forever. If it is incorruptible, it is not corruptible. There is nothing you can do to corrupt that eternal life within you. Regardless of anything you have done or ever will do, that Christ in you cannot be corrupted. That's why we are holy and without blame. We have been raised from the dead, we have Christ in us the hope of glory, and it is that spirit that is holy and without blame. If you're born again you could choose to ignore the word and live like the devil, but that wouldn't mess up your holy spirit, it would only mess up your life.

Incidentally, it is our spirit that is holy and without blame, so trying to make our bodies and souls holy and without blame as well is a waste of time. That's what religion does, and that's why religious people are so sickly nice all the time. The bible does not teach us to transform the old man into something nice, it teaches us to put the stinky thing off.

Ephesians 4:22-24
That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

The point is, we are holy and without blame because of the price that was paid, and because of the Christ in us we received at the time of the new birth, not because of anything we have done or ever will do with our body and soul abilities. We have been raised from death into a new life.

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature [creation]: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

This is something God did for us, not something we did for ourselves. Jesus Christ was the fulfilment of God's plan for us, so we could have eternal life. God wanted a family, he wanted children, and that's us. Children have nothing to do with whether or not they are born the first time into natural life, and they have nothing to do with their being raised from the dead into the new supernatural life either. We simply confess Jesus as Lord and believe in our hearts that God raised him from the dead, and suddenly we're born into a new life.

When we are born again we are holy and without blame because one of the rights that comes with the gift of holy spirit is righteousness. No one can earn righteousness by their own works. The righteousness of God comes with the new birth. We receive that righteousness when we are born again. It's encoded in the nature of the Christ in us. Before we were born again, our nature was children of wrath - that was who we were.

Ephesians 2:3
Among whom also we all had our conversation [behaviour] in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

Once we receive that incorruptible seed from God, we become his children with a new divine, supernatural nature.

2 Peter 1:4
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

The corruption in the world is death. If we've escaped it, we've what? Escaped it. The seed born within us came from God so it carries his nature, his genetic coding, and as we develop that spirit within us the more his nature grows within us, and the more like God we become. It is our new nature, it is our new genetic coding, our new spiritual DNA, it is the new man. That's why God asks us to follow him, to be imitators of him. We do that by putting off the old man and putting on the new. Putting off the old man is renewing our minds, while putting on the new man is learning to walk by the spirit.

Ephesians 5:1,2
Be ye therefore followers [mimētēs - imitators, mimics] of God, as dear children;

And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.

As we renew our minds and put on the new man - which is to learn to think the word while at the same time developing that spirit within us - our spiritual nature will develop and flourish and produce fruit.

Galatians 5:22,23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love [agapē], joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Fruit of the spirit is not fruit of the good works of man. Developing love, for example, this love of God, this agapē love, is not learning to love people with human phileō love. It is not a human ability that can be taught and developed. This is spiritual fruit, something that grows from the Christ in you, and it can only be produced from the Christ in you, the gift of holy spirit. Smiling inanely and being nice to everyone is not fruit of the spirit, it is the putrid fruit of religion.

Fruit isn't developed, it grows, so it isn't something you practice to get good at, like learning to play the piano. It isn't a human ability or talent. If you want to cultivate genuine fruit of the spirit, you need to learn how to manifest that Christ in you. As you do, the more you will grow spiritually, the more the nature of God will grow within you, and the more like God you will become.

This new life we grow into has nothing to do with our old man. Yes, we renew our minds and put off the old man, which is to replace the thoughts of the world with God's thoughts revealed in the bible (and that is a human ability), but that is not our power for abundant living. Renewing the mind is simply the key to power. Don't ever forget that.

Renewing the mind is profitless without learning to walk by the spirit. Without energising the spirit, renewing the mind is simply another work of the flesh. You can memorise the entire bible from Genesis to Revelation, but without energising that spirit all you have is a bloated head that's of no value to anyone. Don't believe me? Look at the apostle Paul's life before he was born again and walked by the spirit. I doubt anyone on earth besides the Lord Jesus Christ has ever had a knowledge of the bible like he did. What good was it to anyone? What good was it to God? His knowledge of scripture served only to transform him into a murdering religious monster, much like the jesuits today. Not until Paul was born again and energised the gift of holy spirit did his knowledge of scripture serve any worthwhile purpose. How did he energise that gift and start walking by the spirit? Let me give you a clue in his own words.

1 Corinthians 14:18
I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all:

Paul's religious life, his worldly education, his responsibilities in the Sanhedrin, his family background, his upbringing, in fact his entire life before he was born again he counted but dung in comparison to the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus his lord. Worshipping God in spirit and in truth and walking by the spirit was all that mattered to him.

Philippians 3:3
For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.

Who are the circumcision? Who are the true worshippers of God? Those who worship God in spirit and in truth, that's who.

John 4:23,24
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

If you want to worship God, you're not going to do it with anything in the senses realm. You can go to church, give all your money away, smile and be nice to everyone your whole life, and you will not even come close to being a true worshipper. There is nothing you can do in the body and soul categories of life that will worship God. Candles don't do it, incense doesn't do it, going to mass or attending any other religious meeting won't do it, crying your eyes out doesn't do it, kneeling at alters won't do it, capitalising pronouns referring to God doesn't do it, and praying on your knees for hours on end certainly doesn't do it. That is all religious horseshit. There is only one way you can truly worship God, and that is in spirit and in truth, truly by way of the spirit. What is worshipping God in spirit? It is speaking in tongues.

Acts 2:4,11
And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost [pneuma hagion - holy spirit], and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.

Acts 10:45,46a
And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost [pneuma hagion - holy spirit].

For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God.

1 Corinthians 14:2
For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries [divine secrets].

Speaking in tongues is one of nine ways you can energise the gift of holy spirit, and we will be learning much more about this. Suffice to say at this juncture that a relationship with God has nothing to do with religious ceremony or ritual. Quite the contrary, it has everything to do with energising the gift of holy spirit. Anything else is a work of the flesh. Back to Paul in Philippians.

Philippians 3:4-6
Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more:

Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee;

Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.

Paul had an expensive education, an impeccable background, a formidable intelligence, and was influential in government and affairs of state. However, compared with the knowledge of what Christ had accomplished for him, he didn't consider his past life worth very much at all.

Philippians 3:7-9
But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.

Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,

And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith [pistis - believing]:

Folks, there is nothing you can do to make yourselves righteous before God. Not a damn thing. Righteousness comes with the new birth. If you are born again you are righteous now, you are holy and without blame without ever having to do anything. Attempting to make yourself righteous is not worth the effort because you can't do it. If you try you will fail. It's a waste of time.

Romans 3:20
Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

The deeds of the law refers to the old testament Mosaic law, of which there were over 900. I suspect most christians think the old testament law only refers to the 10 commandments. Well, I'll tell you something about the 10 commandments. It was rather sad that God had to tell his people to quit stealing from each other, quit murdering each other, quit shagging other men's wives, and quit telling lies about each other. That's how low God's people had sunk during their captivity in Egypt, and God had no choice but to tell Moses to tell his people to stop doing those things. Jesus Christ understood that, which is why he summarised the hundreds and hundreds of old testament laws into just two.

Matthew 22:37-40
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

This is the first and great commandment.

And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

What did he mean when he said on these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets? Simple, if you love someone you don't need to be told not to steal from them because you wouldn't do it. You don't need to be told to quit murdering your brothers and sisters in Christ. You don't need to be told to stop shagging other men's wives. You don't need to be told to stop lying about people in court to have them wrongly convicted. If you love people, you just don't do these things. The Mosaic law was basically a last ditch effort by God to keep his people salvageable until Christ came and the new birth could be made available. So don't go worshipping the old testament law and think it was so great. Christ was the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believes and good riddance to it. Who wants to live under that bullshit?

Now, you have to ask the question: how did God's people sink so low in the first place that God had to tell them to quit stealing, lying, committing adultery, and murdering? How did the god of this world corrupt them to such an extent? He did it the same way he does today, through secret societies. You can track secret societies right back to Genesis. For example, masons are taught they are special and have the right to steal from non-masons. This is what the god of this world teaches them. This is how the world corrupts them. It starts with simple things, like promoting fellow masons in the workplace. Perfectly good employees are passed over for promotion as masons promote wives, daughters, girlfriends and concubines into the best paying jobs, whether they're good employees or not. This, of course, means lying to non-masons and stealing their jobs. As it's all done behind people's backs, in secret, it breeds distrust and discontent, and soon grows into far more serious problems.

Did you know that all the world's worst criminals are masons? They never mention that in the news, do they? Mass murderers all happen to be masons. The worst paedophiles are masons. All the Brink's Mat robbers were masons. All the world's most vicious terrorists and gangsters are masons. The Mafia, the IRA, PIRA, FARC and all the other world's terrorists are run by masons. Hitler, Pol Pot, Lenin and Mao Tse Tung were all masons. Manipulating and controlling world masonry from the top of the pyramid are the most cruel and heartless bastards on earth, the jesuits. This is the world's way.

Why do they do it? Freemasons do it for money because they love it. Jesuits do it for their god Lucifer, whom they worship. They infect masonry with poisonous doctrines that corrupt them, such as it is okay to do evil so long as it results in good, that the end justifies the means, that it doesn't matter how they accomplish one world governance just so long as they achieve that goal. It starts with lying at interviews and giving the best jobs to masons. As soon as you join the masons, the bribery and corruption begins. That is how the god of this world corrupts the earth. Those who are willingly corrupted soon find themselves being promoted, which is why those who are most easily corrupted find themselves quickly advancing through the ranks. That's why the world is run by criminals.

We live above their standards and do what is right according to God's word, not according to the dictates of the communist manifesto, which was penned by the jesuits. Masonry is a social and spiritual disease, and when a country is sufficiently weakened, the jesuits take power through social unrest and revolution, as they did in France, Russia, and China. When the jesuits take power, which they will once you let them in, they will steal your country and enslave you. You masons, you can change. You're not special, you're not knights in the service of the true God, you're traitors, liars, and thieves in the employ of the devil. The spiritual witchcrafts with which you have been enchanted are not from God, it is devil spirit power. You can change. You can have the righteousness of God. You can have a fresh start if you want it.

Same for you jesuits. You don't have to serve Lucifer. I know he's beautiful, and I know he's powerful. The word says he was full of all wisdom and beauty, and that he was perfect in all his ways. As the angel of light he was the most powerful angel in the spiritual realm next to God himself. I really would have loved to have known him back then, but pride filled his heart and he fell. However beautiful he was, you still have a choice, you can change Gods and have eternal life instead of death awaiting you. Paul changed and God was there for him. You can change too and God will be there for you as well. We are all born dead in sins, without spirit. Dead is dead, regardless of how much or how little evil we've done, and you can be raised from that death and have eternal life just like anyone else if you want it. There is no joy in using sorcery to turn the skies black and flood folks out of their homes. Sure, you can use your sorceries to whip up tornadoes that destroy property and kill people, but that just makes you murderers. If that's all your life amounts to, you don't have much going for you. I believe this prophecy in Revelation foretells the future of Vatican City. The merchants of the earth refers to the masons who make their money from peddling evil.

Revelation 18:1-11
And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.

And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.

And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.

Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double.

How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.

Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.

And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,

Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.

And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her, for no man buyeth their merchandise any more.

I believe one day this prophecy will be fulfilled when someone presses a button that destroys Vatican City with a hail of nuclear bombs. One day someone is going to nuke Vatican City, for what you sow is what you will reap. I'd love to see some of you jesuits come out of that cult. We need another Paul, another Martin Luther. We need another reformation, and I believe it may just come from within your own ranks. Like Paul, you would be more than welcome in God's family. Now let's get back on topic.

The righteousness of God comes wrapped up with the gift of holy spirit. Whenever and wherever a man or woman is born again, they have the righteousness of God, despite anything they may have done or ever will do during their life.

Romans 3:22,23
Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

The faith of Jesus Christ could be understood as the perfect believing of Jesus Christ. His believing was perfect, so we call it faith to distinguish it from the imperfect believing of man. The word faith is the Greek word pistis which should be translated believing.

Romans 3:24
Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Justified could be understood as just-as-if I'd never sinned. Justification is the legal side to righteousness. It is part of our God-given rights that come with the new birth.

Romans 3:28
Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith [by believing] without the deeds of the law.

We receive the righteousness of God at the time of the new birth, and that righteousness of God justifies us by our believing. We are justified without having to do any of the old testament law. Christ was the end of the law. Everything we do in the senses realm is a work of the flesh. The righteousness of God that comes with the new birth is something God made available through Jesus Christ. We are made righteous, not by our own works, but by the work of Jesus Christ. And do you know something? It was God's good pleasure to do this for us.

Ephesians 1:5
Having predestinated us unto the adoption [huiothesia - sonship] of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

God enjoyed raising us from death. It wasn't done out of obligation, it wasn't done out of guilt or necessity, and he certainly wasn't coerced into it. God did this for us because he wanted to, it was his good pleasure. What parent doesn't want children they can love?

This gift from God is a gift of grace. God was not required to give it. He had no obligation to make it available. He was not under any legal constraints that forced him into helping us. Man by his own freewill disobeyed God and marched willingly to his death. God could have thrown his hands up and walked away and been quite within his rights to do so. Man threw away everything God had given him and handed the lordship of the earth to his enemy, the devil. Man committed treason, which is a crime punishable by death. People accuse God of all sorts of evil and blame him for all their problems, but the truth is, all our problems are of our own doing. It was God's good pleasure to help us. It was something he wanted to do, out of grace and mercy.

Ephesians 2:1-3
And you hath he quickened [made alive], who were dead in trespasses and sins;

Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

Among whom also we all had our conversation [behaviour] in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

When we were born, we were born dead into a world whose god is the devil. What worse scenario can you imagine? By his own choice, man willingly walked into this mess. God, by his grace, figured out a way to get us out of the mess we made for ourselves. Why are you waggling fingers at God and accusing him of evil? The devil is the author of sickness and death, and he it was who stole the world from us. You have to admire Lucifer, because he is good at what he does.

Deliverance is available and eternal life as a free gift is part of the deal. It is all by God's grace and there is nothing we can do to earn it. Eternal life is a gift from God.

Ephesians 2:4-8
But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us [made us alive] together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

For by grace are ye saved [sōzō - made whole] through faith [believing]; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Here this truth that we are made whole by grace is stated twice, establishing it for us. It is a gift from God. If I give you something as a gift, it isn't wages, you didn't do anything to earn it, it is something I gave you. It costs me something, but it costs you nothing. It took God coming up with a plan to get the job done. Jesus Christ was the fulfilment of that plan, and after his death and resurrection our redemption was secured. The gift of holy spirit isn't a reward for being good, nor is it wages for labour, it is a gift.

If you have a problem accepting this, and still believe you need to actually do something to make yourself acceptable to God, think of it this way: did you have any say in Adam and Eve's original sin? Were you there, were you part of their decision to walk away from God and hand the world to the devil? No, you were not, yet you still enjoy the consequences of their actions and will have to face death. Just as it was a man who got us into this mess, without any input from us, it took a man to get us out of it, without any input from us. The consequences of Adam and Eve's disobedience is something we inherited at birth.

Romans 5:12,13
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

(For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.

The law refers to the law of Moses. Before the law of Moses, sin was not imputed because there was no law and, therefore, there were no legal consequences. If there is no law, you can't break it so you can't be charged with anything. However, there were still practical consequences in life. For example, if you drove your chariot too fast around a corner you could go off the road and crash. You would damage your chariot, and possibly even injure or kill yourself. You would suffer practical consequences for breaking the laws of physics God built into life. However, because there were no speeding laws in place, you would face no legal consequences. If there were speeding laws in place, you could also be charged for breaking those laws. So as well as the practical consequences, you could also be taken to court. Once the law of Moses was given, there were legal consequences as well as the practical consequences for folk's actions.

Romans 5:14
Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.

Despite there being no law, the practical consequences of Adam's sin was still very evident in that every man was born with death built into his chemical composition. Just as death is something we inherit because of Adam, eternal life is something we inherit because of Jesus Christ.

Romans 5:15
But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

The free gift refers to the gift of holy spirit, the Christ in you, the incorruptible seed that was born within us at the time of the new birth. Just as we suffer death because of one man, Adam, we now enjoy life because of one man, Jesus Christ.

Romans 5:16-18
And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.

For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

Justification is the legal side to righteousness. The Christ in us is incorruptible, it cannot sin, it cannot miss the mark. There is nothing anyone can do to make their spirit sin. It is impossible to corrupt it with sin. That is why it is eternal life  When we are born again, God takes his gavel, slams it down and declares us not guilty, not because of our body and souls, not because of our old man, but because of the gift of holy spirit that is born within us. It is the spirit that makes us righteous. Righteousness and justification come wrapped up with the new birth. They are God-given rights that come with the Christ in us.

Romans 5:19
For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

Adam's disobedience made us all guilty of death, and so death was the penalty we all had to pay. That's why we were all born dead into this world, with no spiritual life. God didn't do that to us, the devil did. Man committed a sin so vile, it legally warranted the death penalty. Man died and the devil became the god of this world. Thankfully, God came up with a way to spring us from death, and that way was Jesus Christ, who died in our place to accomplish our redemption.

Romans 5:20,21
Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

Just as Adam's sin introduced death for us, Jesus Christ's death and resurrection introduced eternal life for us. The legal consequence of Adam's sin was death. Jesus Christ carried that legal burden and it was nailed to the tree where he gave his life in our place. As the legal consequences for man's sin are now paid for, we are free from the consequences of that sin.

Galatians 4:4-7
But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons [huiothesia - sonship].

And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying Abba, Father.

Wherefore thou are no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Jesus Christ redeemed us from death. To redeem means to recover ownership of by paying a specified sum. Jesus Christ paid the full price required to buy us back from death. That redemption carries with it the legal justification and the righteousness that sanctifies us, sets up apart for eternal life. When we are born again, we are literally raised from the dead. At that very moment, ownership of us changes. The god of this world no longer has any rights over us, because the required legal price was paid for our redemption and we were bought back from him.

1 Corinthians 6:19
What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost [pneuma hagion - holy spirit] which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

The holy ghost refers to the gift of holy spirit within us. Ghost is a poor translation and carries spiritually filthy undertones in modern language. Always translate ghost as spirit in your mind when reading the bible. Our bodies house the gift of holy spirit, which we received from God, and it isn't a devil spirit, a ghost.

1 Corinthians 6:20
For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

It is because we were redeemed that we were justified, made righteous, and sanctified, which means to be set apart. This all occurs when we are raised from the dead at the time of the new birth. From that moment on, we are God's sons and daughters, his children with eternal life. It isn't our bodies that are going to live forever, it is the gift of holy spirit within us that is our eternal life. We have been born into a new life.

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
